F.A.Q.

Here are some common questions about Ten Beauty Treatments

Spray
Tan

How Long Will My Tan Last?

Your tan will last 7-10 days and will fade naturally as your skin shreds, I recommend lightly exfoliating from day 3 to make sure your tan shreds evenly and moisturise as often as possible as this will make your tan last longer.

I don’t recommend spending a lot of time on chlorinated swimming pools as this will fade your tan quicker
I offer a top up tan for £10 7 days after your initial tan to keep you with that golden glow for longer

Who Should Not Have A Spray Tan?
Anyone with open wounds, shingles etc or anyone that has had a lot of reactions to body products in the past I wouldn’t recommend a tan or anyone with breathing difficulties.
I require you to have a patch test at least 24hours before or you to sign on your consent form that you are happy for me to go ahead without one.
Also pregnant ladies in the first trimester should avoid spray tans as hormonal changes can lead to patches on the skin.
How Long Does It Take?

It takes about 10 minutes to actually do the tan and 20 minutes to set up and pack up.

Is It Safe?
I only use paraben and alcohol free solution and it is much safer to have a spray tan than be exposed for hours in the harmful sun or UV beds.
DHA is not absorbed through the body and has no known toxicity.
What Shall I Wear?
You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
Most ladies go topless and wear a dark knickers although I have disposable thongs for you to wear if you would like?
If you would feel more comfortable in a bikini them please feel free to wear one, spray tanning solution can cause staining to some fabrics so please don’t wear your best one!
Can Spray Tan Be Removed?

No, your spray tan will only fade gradually over the next week, you can exfoliate to speed up the process but it’s not recommended.

Can I Shower After?

You must not shower until after the developing time is up which will be discussed at your appointment.

How Dark Will I Be?

Your colour will be discussed at and before your appointment, everyone’s skin is different so what looks good on one person may not be suitable for another.

What Should I Wear After My Tan?

I recommend loose dark clothing, avoid anything tight or socks and shoes, flip flops are perfect.

Will My Spray Tan Protect Me From The Sun?

No! The spray tan has no sun protection in it what so ever and you should still apply a factor that is suitable for you.

How Should I Prepare?
Please wax, shave and exfoliate at least 24hrs before your appointment and make sure you have your nails or toes painted first too.
On the day of the tan (preferably just before) shower and after apply NOTHING!
no cream, perfume or deodorant.

Eyelashes

How Long Will My Lashes Last?

Your lashes have a natural growth cycle, some will be ready to drop out where others with be only in the middle of the cycle, this is why gaps appear as your lashes naturally shred.. Infills will be needed no later than 3 weeks, some will need earlier depending on how quick your lash cycle is.

Can Contact Lenses Be Worn During Your Appointment?

I would rather you didn’t wear contact lenses to your appointment.

Can I Wear Mascara With Extensions?

There is really no need to wear mascara with eyelash extensions but if you do decide to then use a water soluble one and do not apply to the bonds.

Can I Have Extensions If I Have A Eye Problem?

Please discuss with me prior to your appointment as some conditions do prevent you having extensions.

How Long Does Application Take?

This all depends on the lashes you want and your lashes. Normally a set of individuals take between 60-90 mins and volume lashes can take between 90-150mins.

How Often Do I Need Infills?

Infills are roughly every 2/3 weeks depending on your lash cycle.
